| If your weight is a concern to you or the groom, it should be one of the first things you address when preparing for your wedding. Aiming to drop a size may sound easy, however too many brides and grooms leave it too late to start and then resort to taking drastic measures such as starving, missing meals, and diet pills. This is not a wise idea as the faster you lose weight the easier you will put it back on. Also, if you lose too much weight, too quickly, you will also lose it from your face and this prematurely ages you.
Additionally, dieting too fast means you lose muscle instead of fat and as muscle is heavier than fat, the scales may show an improvement but your actual physical appearance will still look untoned. To achieve a well toned or firm appearance, you need to maintain what muscle you naturally have and reduce the amount of body fat you carry.
To reduce body fat, regular cardiovascular exercise and a reduction of high fat foods is all most people need. Power walking is by far the best exercise as it stimulates the blood and lymphatic circulation, which in turn eliminates toxins from the body and skin. The time spent walking gives you a chance to clear your head, giving you a sense of well-being and some precious time to think. The best thing is that it is free and you can do it in your own time.
